I am a licensed, insured, and certified cosmetic tattoo artist. I completed 100 hours of basic fundamental training through Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy in Naperville, IL which meets the national standard requirement set by the largest permanent cosmetics association in the world -- the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals or SPCP. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is a fully credentialed, board-certified school that is licensed by the Board of Education. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is approved through the SPCP association and my trainers are CPCP certified by the association. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is the only standalone, state board certified permanent makeup school in Illinois for permanent makeup and microblading.
Education is so, so important in every avenue of life but especially when it comes to choosing a technician to make permanent cosmetic changes to your body! Even if I am not the artist for you, I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure that the technician that you choose has received extensive and proper training. Please do your research!
As for me, I am committed to seeking out the best education that I can for myself in the cosmetic tattoo industry and I am constantly learning and training to better myself as an artist in this industry. It's amazing how much fun learning can be when you find something you are truly passionate about. I look forward to expanding my services in the months and years to come!
Alongside my permanent makeup certifications, I have completed OSHA-compliant Blood Borne Pathogens training for body art professionals.
I am also a licensed tattoo artist in the state of Illinois.
I am a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals-- committed to safety and continuing education.
I am certified in microblading, machine ombre and powder brow techniques, permanent eyeliner, and non-laser saline tattoo removal and pigment lightening.
Hey, I'm Lauren!
I have a passion for art and a passion for makeup and I have combined my love for both of these things into my dream job! Each individual is a blank canvas and a new challenge and it is so fun and rewarding for me to help you enhance your natural beauty through permanent cosmetics. It is amazing what a new brow shape or a bit of lash enhancing liner can do to not only help balance your features, but help boost your self-confidence. And with permanent makeup you never have to wash it off!
I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2013 and I worked as a graphic artist for 5 years before taking the leap into the cosmetic tattooing world. I believe my background in the arts gives me a great advantage in the permanent cosmetics industry by providing me with the tools to visualize how shape and color can help enhance and balance features of the human face and body.
I've got a full plate outside of the tattoo shop, too! I also work full-time as a graphic artist for a custom heat transfer company in Elgin (think high-quality iron on -- decor for t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, etc). In addition to that, I've got some personal side projects in the custom apparel industry I'm working on as well. Putting my computer graphics skills to good use!
I don't leave myself much room for free time, but I love being outside boating, fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, or one of my favorite things to do on a nice night is sit out by the bonfire. When I need an escape, you can catch me lakeside in Northern WI or on a beach somewhere warm and sunny. I love to get outside and get dirty, but I can also clean up pretty well! I do enjoy a fun, dressed-up night out once in a while to indulge in good food and fancy drinks. I also really love baking and cooking at home for friends and family. When I do take some time to kick my feet up, I enjoy binge watching murder documentaries on Netflix or catching a Blackhawks game.
