I am a licensed, insured, and certified cosmetic tattoo artist. I completed 100 hours of basic fundamental training through Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy in Naperville, IL which meets the national standard requirement set by the largest permanent cosmetics association in the world -- the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals or SPCP. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is a fully credentialed, board-certified school that is licensed by the Board of Education. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is approved through the SPCP association and my trainers are CPCP certified by the association. Advanced Permanent Cosmetics Academy is the only standalone, state board certified permanent makeup school in Illinois for permanent makeup and microblading.
Education is so, so important in every avenue of life but especially when it comes to choosing a technician to make permanent cosmetic changes to your body! Even if I am not the artist for you, I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure that the technician that you choose has received extensive and proper training. Please do your research!
As for me, I am committed to seeking out the best education that I can for myself in the cosmetic tattoo industry and I am constantly learning and training to better myself as an artist in this industry. I believe cosmetic tattooing is my true calling and I cannot get enough! It's amazing how much fun learning can be when you find something you are truly passionate about. I look forward to expanding my services in the months and years to come to include eyeliner, lip, and areola re-pigmentation services as well as new techniques in every category that I offer.
Alongside my permanent makeup certifications, I have completed OSHA-compliant Blood Borne Pathogens training for body art professionals.
I am also a licensed tattoo artist in the state of Illinois.
I am a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals-- committed to safety and continuing education.
I am certified in microblading, machine ombre and powder brow techniques, and non-laser saline tattoo removal and pigment lightening.
First things first, my name is Lauren. I have a passion for art and a passion for makeup and I have combined my love for both of these things into my dream job! Each individual is a blank canvas and a new challenge and it is so fun and rewarding for me to help you enhance your natural beauty through permanent cosmetics. It is amazing what a few hair strokes or a bit of lash enhancing liner can do to not only help balance your features, but help boost your self-confidence, and with permanent makeup you never have to wash it off!
I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Arts degree and I worked as a graphic artist for 5 years before taking the leap into the cosmetic tattooing world. I believe my background in the arts gives me a great advantage in the permanent cosmetics industry by providing me with the tools to visualize how shape and color can help enhance and balance features of the human face and body.
I live in a small town in a little, old farm house on 5 acres with my long-time boyfriend and our feather babies. We have 17 chickens and 4 ducks. We also became beekeepers this spring which is something I've always wanted to do! I love all things nature, and I have from a very young age. I grew up catching frogs and snakes in the creeks and the woods, fishing, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and good old getting outside and getting dirty! I still enjoy all of these things in my free time and I am a country girl at heart, but I also enjoy a night out or a fun vacation where I can dress up, makeup, and enjoy the luxuries in life!
